I have talked with a lot of distributors in network marketing over the years and the qualities that most people refer to have to do with the product. There is no question that the product needs to have a compelling story behind it along with your personal testimony regarding its value. I find it interesting that the majority of people involved in a network business are generally far less informed on the company itself.
Think of the network marketing company as your personal limousine service. The driver needs to know where to go, needs to avoid accidents, needs to make sure you have everything you need to remain comfortable, needs to open doors for you, and insure that you reach your destination successfully.
The company you chose to work with is your vehicle to your chosen objective. It pays to know if the company leadership has the knowledge and experience and track record to get the job done. The network marketing industry has more than its share of companies with good ideas and little or no experience in navigating the challenges.
We have all heard the stories about people we know that have been involved in network marketing with little or no success. I do believe in personal responsibility. It is also true that there is all too often a disconnect between the company and the support, training and general needs of the distributors.
The principal tasks of a distributor should revolve around connecting prospects with the product and opportunity. The company has to do all of the product development, distribution, tracking, training, accounting, and legal considerations, while providing marketing support. As a distributor you need to know that the responsibilities of the company are in good hands. You need to know that the company is solvent.
The best products in the world will struggle in the market place if the drivers of the vehicle get lost, confused or run out of resources to keep moving forward.
I will be spending some time breaking down the specifics of what to look for as I continue to post articles and videos on this subject. Most people getting involved in network marketing have little or no experience. No Problem! However, your success is only possible if the company is solid with all the right tools in place to support your efforts.
